Gloriously Handmade on Bowen Island
Over here at BISCo we make everything by hand in small batches in our artisan workshop here on Bowen Island.
We don't believe in big batch, robot produced products because our parents taught us that a true artisan knows their craft inside and out.
What does that mean for you?
Well, we really know our sh!t. And, we really care what we put out.
But we aren't Amazon. Or Walmart. Or Costco or Sainsburys or any other huge chain.
We're little. And proudly handmade. And we like it that way.
We just wanted to let you know that before you buy. And we hope you know why that is.
But if you're here, we're pretty sure you.
And we're pretty sure that's why you'd choose us and not that synthetic detergent bar your Aunty used to pop in your Christmas stocking.
p.s. it's okay. We won't tell anyone if you give it away.
Our soaps are crafted in small batches using high quality, plant-based, cruelty free, natural and organic ingredients.
We never use palm oil, detergents or artificial colours, and our fragrances are skin safe and paraben and phthalate free.
We avoid using plastic as much as possible and recycle what we do use in our making process because we love our earth (and your skin) as much as you do.
Each batch is hand crafted. They are then hand cut and air cured for a few weeks to give you the best bar of soap possible.
Please note, whilst we try to ensure every batch is the same, colours, patterns and tops may vary from the photographs shown on the website. Please allow for these variations when ordering.
The "bar" Facts
Each bar is designed and handmade on Bowen Island, BC, Canada and are wrapped with a paper information band, which includes ingredients and contact information. If you want, you can recycle the band when you unwrap your soap. We'd sure love it if you did (and so would the planet). :-)
Like a good vermouth, our bars prefers things dry. To keep them in tip-top condition, we recommend letting them drain on a slotted soap dish between uses rather than just letting it sit directly on your counter top or shower ledge. After all, no-one wants to wake up to sad, soapy sludge.
Government regulations prohibit bath and body companies from making health-related claims about beauty products.
On that note, whilst we’re thrilled you’re here and you're maybe considering buying our products, we're not medical or healthcare professionals so we can't claim that the use of our products may have a positive effect on pre-existing or upcoming physical and/or mental health conditions.
We can tell you that we love cats though. And tea. We're pretty partial to cheese, too. But none of that's got anything to do with our soap.
